Listen to My Voice —

Empowering Voices, Unlocking Potential

Girl 1

The Listen to My Voice Workshop is a valuable program that empowers parents and caregivers to support non-vocal children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in developing effective communication skills. It addresses the need for parents to foster self-advocacy and provides guidance on future planning.

This workshop series aims to bridge the limited knowledge and access to Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, offering information and training to parents, students, and educators. By equipping parents with AAC device knowledge and skills, the program promotes inclusion and enhances functionality for individuals with ASD.

Listen to My Voice focuses on providing resources for obtaining AAC devices and emphasizes training for parents and non-vocal children, enabling essential communication skills development. Participation in the workshop empowers parents and promotes the integration of individuals with ASD as valued members of society.

Listen to My Voice aims to raise awareness, promote inclusion, and enhance social integration. Participants will acquire knowledge in IEPs, AAC devices, modeling techniques, and reinforcement strategies. Activities include interactive sessions featuring role-play exercises and comprehensive reference materials. We adapt the program to accommodate participants' needs and advocate for AAC device usage in everyday life.
